What is the best Breathless resort?

I think it can be a little challenging to find an adults only resort that has a party atmosphere. Family resorts like Hard Rock Punta Cana, the Iberostar and Grand Palladium complexes, Planet Hollywood have a good reputation for an active pool vibe and nightlife.  The adults only resorts tend to be quieter at night, but I have found Breathless resorts can fill that gap.

Breathless is a chain of adults only all inclusive resorts that are part of the AmResorts brand. These resorts were created to fill this gap for fun, party adults only resorts. Breathless has resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. 

Breathless Riviera Cancun is my favorite for dining and pool scene, but it's not for beach lovers. The dining is great. I love that there are two pools - a pool with activities playing top 40 hits and a second pool with more Club music and pool parties. If you want your room to be a bit of an escape, you can book your room at Secrets Riviera Cancun. The Secrets is connected to Breathless.  The Xhale Club includes one complimentary Hydrotherapy experience at the Spa, access to the lounge, and a bottle of Veuve Cliquot champagne at the Fizz bar with a 3 night stay. The rooms in the Xcelerate section are quieter at night.

Breathless Cabo is my favorite for location and views form the rooms. Breathless Cabo is right in the marina. It has two separate buildings. One building has the rooms and an activity pool. Across the street is the Beach Club building with most of the restaurants, the party pool, and the Spa. The reviews on dining is the most mixed of all the Breathless resorts so you may want to steer clear if dining is important. The Xhale Club here includes the lounge, complimentary access to the humid areas of the Spa, and access to Ocote restaurant.

Breathless Montego Bay is great for feeling like a VIP. Breathless Montego Bay is located just behind Secrets Wild Orchid and Secrets St James. It has a small beach club and a large party pool with exchange privileges to Secrets. Secrets Wild Orchid is another good choice for an active, fun adults only resort.  It’s like Breathless if your own VIP area for the Secrets resort. The Xhale Club here includes Butler service and access to the Preferred Clubs at Secrets.

Breathless Punta Cana has the best beach. The party pool is the smallest here, but the activity pool is long and winding. The restaurants are very good and set up for group dining.  We enjoyed the dining. The Xhale Club here includes access to the Xhale Club lounge and an Xhale Club Pool. As you can see in video, the Xhale Club pool is very small and basically part of the swim up pools. I think the value of the Xhale Club is in the room locations in the buildings closest to the beach.

Breathless Soul Cancun is scheduled open in December 2021. The resort will have 429 rooms and 2 infinity rooftop pools. It’s about 2 miles from the Cancun Strip. Xhale Club here will include exclusive access to one of the rooftop pools and a rooftop bar.
